Our Work
The Vance County Democratic Party works year-round to educate voters, support candidates for office, and increase engagement between elected officials and their constituents. Below is just a small snippet of how we organize across precincts in the county and contribute to the larger efforts of the state party!

01
Direct Voter Contact
A chief aspect of our work is increasing voter turnout by educating registered voters in advance of each election. Canvassing, phone banking, poll greeting, and other events like town halls are how we engage with each voter and provide the information they need to make their decisions at the ballot box!
02
Watch Parties
Our spacious county party headquarters allows for us to hold a variety of events for large audiences, including watch parties of debates, such as the 2024 Presidential Debate and the expected 2026 US Senate Debate in North Carolina.

03
Candidate Rallies
In the past, we have carpooled with party members and supporters to rallies and gatherings across the state, such as the Kamala Harris' rally in Greenville.
04
Poll Greeting
During both the Early Voting Period and on Election Day, we greet voters at the polls, provide candidate slates, and discuss the most important issues and what our candidates' stances are. Informing voters is one of the most important tasks we accomplish every election!

05
Canvassing
Through our partnerships with organizations like Team Up NC, the Coordinated Campaign, and the NC House and Senate Caucuses, we host canvass launches for large groups to gather together, hear from our candidates, and get out into the community to spread the word about the impact we can make each election!
